September is fruits & veggies month — important because fruits and vegetables have many health benefits and can play an important part in weight control. Plus, eating a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables can help lower your risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer. A diet rich in fruit and veggies can also help prevent obesity and high blood pressure.
