National Stress Awareness Month – The purpose of this observance is to bring attention to the negative impact of stress. Knowing how to manage stress can improve mental and physical well-being as well as minimize harmful impacts on health. Everyone experiences stress at some point, and it should be noted that there is both good and bad stress. What’s good stress? Think about taking a trip to a foreign country or starting a new adventure. But bad or negative stress can build and interfere with our overall well-being. To help you recognize what stress and anxiety look like, we’ve gathered resources below.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month – If you’d like to practice more mindful drinking or eliminate alcohol consumption entirely to improve your health, here are some steps you can take:

- Take an online self-assessment such as the CDC’s confidential Alcohol Use Check.

- Find a Meeting: Find an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) or an Al-Anon or Alateen
- Call your EAP counselor to help you make a plan to quit or reduce your drinking.
Financial Literacy Month – A nationwide, collaborative endeavor marked by a variety of activities and events across the country and throughout the month aimed at improving the financial literacy of all Americans – especially our nation’s youth. Here are additional resources to help you strengthen your financial savvy:

- 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy – a free program of the nation’s certified public accountants to help Americans understand their personal finances through every stage of life.
- Annualcreditreport.com – a collaborative effort by the three nationwide credit reporting companies have joined forces to make it easy for you to request your reports through a central website. It’s the only authorized way to get free credit reports.
