May is National Bike Month, a great time to dust off your bike, get it back on the road, and get ready to participate in National Bike to Work Week from May 13–19 and Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 17! Biking is not only an economical and earth-friendly form of transportation, it’s great exercise! Get on board to enjoy the mental and physical health benefits of biking. It’s a super way to experience the great outdoors as the weather improves. If you’ve been goofing off on your fitness routine, you might want to limber up a bit before attempting any long rides. ESI EAP members can call a coach for a good fitness regime to help you build your strength. Don’t push too hard at first – stick to flat roads, warm up and cool off after your ride and be sure to wear a good bike helmet with a good fit at all times.
